October returns and so does the pawnshop princess

With quite the gusto temperatures are dropping and the pawnshop princess is crawling out of the storage-rooms she's been hiding all summer. Quite a lot is happening, in Second Life just as in real life and there will be updates coming sooner rather than later so for now I will simply show my slow inching towards the horror that will be Cooper on Halloween.

Eurovision Song Contest

Hey, look at that. Two days in a row.

Last night was the evening for glamour on tv, Eurovision Song Contest and I felt inspired enough to do my own look for it. A hearty congratulations for the winners Azerbaijan and a good played for Estonia and Serbia who had the cutest stage outfits in my mind.

Glitter and glamour of the sexy kind is rampant in this competition and it was quite fun to go through my folders to find the right outfit, a bit of leg-shock but who cares. I wish my inventory would have included a microphone and stage-poses but perhaps for next year.

The pawnshop princess is pink

The constant releases of new, incredible, crave-inducing items in Second Life can be quite an anxiety I've found, shopping so much that I don't even have the will to blog anything. For four weeks I've had topics to post almost every day but I just don't seem to get around to it. The solution I've decided is that I'm going to stop shopping. I'm going cold turkey and while it's especially tempting to release the lindens at the weekend I'm going to restrain myself.

I'm also going to try to at least post a Look of the Day thrice a week and something more substantial once a week, perhaps a designer high-light or a location based post.

But now, onto the pink!

While I've had outfits ready for perhaps five of the past seven colour challenges this is the first one I've gotten ready, perhaps due to my no-shopping resolution, and I'm quite happy with the whole mood of this set. The skin from Pink Fuel is one of my latest purchases and hopefully one of my last for a good while!

Oh right, I have a blog.

Hello again, how many months has it been now? Well, I might as well just throw myself back into it. Fear not, major shopping has been performed on a weekly basis throughout my absence so there should be no shortage of things to show even after a winter that made me just want to snuggle up in the comfiest of sweaters and most warm tights I could find. Now sun has peeked out in real life and while summer isn't quite here yet I had the urge to preview it at least, that's the beauty of Second Life after all.

Pulling out an ensemble of things that had just been sitting in my inventory while I felt all chilled I went shopping, what else, and stumbled upon C'est Moi! creator Marcantonio Beaumont at his shop in Florencia. It was, I think, my second or third time meeting a creator and talking to them and I came away with a very good impression. Marcantonio was even nice enough to gift me with one of his Vintage necklaces, I definitely feel that it made the whole outfit.

Now though it's time for me to do some land hunting, anyone know a good place for a skybox home?

Colour of the week.

Surprisingly I did have a considerable amount of yellow in my wardrobe when I checked but by then I was allready so focused on the idea of making something myself so I ended up using some old templates and some new details and voila, I have a skirt. It's a simple high waisted miniskirt which I've put it on all possible layers for combination possibilities and if anyone would like to have it, drop me a line in world and I'll drop the folder on you. Obviously Hey You will probably not work so take note to send that request to Cooper Clarity.

Interlude

The other day I was traversing the grid without much real purpose in mind and realized just how broke I'll be before Christmas, surely I can't be the only one excited about the new releases of Tres Blah and Glam Affair? If I only could choose which ones to get I would be showing them off right now.

Other than that I'm mainly pondering if I should join in on Luna Jubilees blog-challenge 52 weeks of colour. Question is, do I own anything yellow? Or better yet, can I make something in time? It would be awfully fun to get back into the habit of putting down my ideas and desires into action after all.

In the meantime, I'll be blowing bubbles languidly.

A bountiful Friday presented on Saturday

Friday in Second Life is undoubtfully associated with shopping, at least for me since I often end up logging in quite late and can thus not only enjoy 50 Linden Friday but also sometime in the middle of it the new releases at either the Dressing Room or the Dressing Room Blue. Needless to say, linden will be spent.

Yesterday I dressed up in a rare dark skintone, a huntgift from gorgeous Imabee and as I decided to go for the gal-style I combined it with a bright-lipped makeup, and went searching for the perfect items to add to my collection. Of course I did a detour to the sim that will be the new home to Lamb and Tres Blah as well as new brand Mon Tissu but more of that at a later time.

First I tackled the list from 50 Linden Friday and hopped over to start from the top. However, I've stopped buying everything and thus for this time I chose to only get the items from Reek, Tiny Bird, Kyoot and League. As always Tiny Bird makes for gorgeous hairs and I was really drawn to the red version. League offered us beautiful scarves in deep colours and the aubergine works very well with Kyoot's grey knit dress. However, my favourite this time must be the shoes from Reek. Lovely, warm looking unisex boots offered in two variations.

As I finished my rounds I recieved the note that the new collection was out in TDR Blue so I headed over and started deliberating. Again, in the beginning I bought everything they had for sale since they were available only for a limited time but yesterday I was disciplined. I picked up one set of hairs, a sweater and one pair of leggings only. I might return later to pick up Milk Motions set with shorts and cardigan as well as the denim mini-dress offered by Kunglers. Maybe. Probably.
